Abia Warriors are scheduled to play a friendly match against bitter rivals Abia Comets at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Saturday.
The Umuahia Warriors will be using the friendly as part of their preparation for their upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) game with Sunshine Stars.
“We want to use this match to test ourselves against a tough opposition before we take on Sunshine Stars,” assistant coach of Abia Warriors Patrick Ngwaogu stated to Footballlive.ng.
“Abia Comets is a club with good players and it will provide the kind of test the team needs before the game in Akure.
The Abia Warriors Match Reader praised the Pastor Emeka Inyama led management for motivating the team at all times.
“Pastor Emeka Inyama is a man of his words. His management team have always ensured that the staff do lack anything.
“Welfare is an important aspect in football. He (Emeka Inyama) has done his possible best to ensure that the team is well taken care of and in good condition. I think most administrators should emulate his management style,” he concluded.
