Lobi Stars of Makurdi skipper, Anthony Agbaji has admitted that he is on his way out of the Middle Belt club, as he has sealed what he called a lucrative deal in Vietnam.
Although Agbaji stopped short of disclosing details of the financial booty he is aiming for in the Far East, he stated during a sports programme on radio, monitored by footballlive.ng in Lagos, that he is happy that he will soon join the array of Nigeria’s foreign-based players.
While also affirming that he is happy with the deal in Vietnam, Agbaji said he would have loved to continue helping Lobi Stars in their 2019 CAF Champions League campaign, but stressed the need to go abroad.
Agbaji pointed out that the move to Vietnam would help him to further his career, adding that it would also help him properly take care of his family members and meet other responsibilities on his shoulders.
“I would have loved to stay and help Lobbi Stars in the CAF Champions League, but I just have to make this move in order to advance my career.
“I am not thinking only of myself, but also about my family and people who are looking up to me, I just hope everything will be fine,” he said.
