Agbo promises fight against Krasnodar

Henry Uche Agbo has promised that Standard Liege will ‘continue fighting’ in the UEFA Europa League so long as hope remains.

 

The reigning Belgian top flight champions host FC Krasnodar this Thursday night sitting third in Group J with six points to their name.

However, their Nigerian international says that the dressing room has not given up on pushing for the Round of 32 or advancement into the Europa League knockout stages.

“We want to bring joy to the fans. On Thursday we will give everything against FC Krasnodar to get the three points,” Henry Uche Agbo has reflected to Footballlive.ng

“We know that progressing from the group is difficult, but whilst there is hope we will continue fighting. Moreover, also at stake is the image of the club.”

“But most important is that the team remains in a good line. Everyone here is a leader, each doing his bit.”
