Super Eagles stand-in captain Ahmed Musa has stated that he is extremely happy to be back on the pitch after missing several games due to family reasons and was involved in his team’s narrow one-nil win against Al-Feiha in the Saudi Pro League over the weekend.
Musa had failed to feature for the side in the league since the start of the year after he was given official leave to tend to family issues after the demise of his mother in January.
Forward Abderrazak Hamdallah scored the only goal of the encounter with a well-taken penalty in the 68 minutes to hand the home side the win as they continue their title chase in the season.
Musa made his first league appearance replacing goal scorer Abderrazak Hamdallah in the 78th minute of the game but was unable to add to the tally.
Reacting to the game, the former CSKA Moscow star congratulated the entire team for the effort; “Good win mates, good to be back on the pitch.” The Nigeria star will be hoping to get back his starting shirt as soon as possible and also will be hoping to return to scoring goals for the club after several weeks of absence.
