Another Nigerian youngster Trains With Arsenal’s Main Team

Another Nigerian youngster is on the verge of a major breakthrough into the first team at Arsenal of England, as Tobi Omole got the chance to this week to train with The Gunners’ main stars in London.

So soon after signing his first professional contract with the club back in August, Omole is now set to join Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi in Arsenal’s mainframe.

Though Omole’s chance only came because several first team players were away on international duty with their various countries, the youngster hopes to have caught the ye of the manager, Unai Emery.

Indeed, it was the gaffer who invited Omole to train with the first team at London Colney on Wednesday morning, and he ended up hobnobbing with the like of Héctor Bellerín, Laurent Koscielny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Mesut özil, Nacho Monreal, Shkodran Mustafi and Sead Kolašinac.

The versatile defender, Omole, who joined Arsenal’s Hale End Academy in 2014 and rose through the ranks before he was promoted to the U23 side, will hope that he makes a lasting impression ioin Emery.

The lift also comes after the 18-year-old Omole netted his frist goal for Arsenal’s under-23 side in a 2-1 win at Leicester City in their last match before the second international break of the season.

Omole should provide Emery with several options in the near future, as the lad can play as left back, central defender or defensive midfielder.
