Atalanta’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, has acknowledged the substantial growth of Ademola Lookman since his arrival at the club, noting that the Nigerian winger has become a more impactful player.
Lookman, currently in his second season with Atalanta, was the team’s leading scorer in the previous season, contributing 13 goals and three assists in 31 league appearances. Gasperini highlighted Lookman’s offensive prowess, emphasizing his enhanced abilities in speed, dribbling, and even heading.
The manager expressed optimism about Lookman evolving into a key player for the team, recognizing the winger’s potential to be a reference player, particularly when near the goal. Lookman recently featured in Atalanta’s Europa League clash against Sporting Lisbon.
Despite a goal drought in Europe spanning 19 games, Gasperini encourages Lookman to maintain his offensive contributions.
