Royal Excel Mouscron of Belgium striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has given thanks to God for helping him return to goals scoring form this season, and for his emergence in team of the week four times in a row.
After emerging among the latest top-11 for the Belgian top-flight, which features him in attack along with two other Nigerians, Imoh Ezekiel and Victor Osimhen, Awoniyi declared the work of God in his current form.
While Osimhen is also on fire with Sporting Charleroi and Ezekiel is now picking up his career once again at Kortrijk, Awoniyi is in a second spell with Mouscron, following his arrival on loan from Liverpool of England.
The 22-year-old Awoniyi, who failed to make an impact at fellow-Belgian top-flight side, KAA Gent during the first half of the current season, was again on target on Sunday, as Mouscron beat Cercle Brugge 3-0.
Awoniyi, who now has four goals for Mouscron, returns to action when his side take on Lokeren in matchday 27, ahead of which he hinted that he is not thinking of slowing down in his rain of goals.
In celebrating his line of achievements, Awoniyi tweeted: “4weeks in a row. God is the greatest. Will keep on going.”
