Awoniyi made his competitive debut for Gent in their 3-2 loss to Standard Liege in a Belgian First Division A clash away on Friday evening.
The youthful striker, who is on loan from Liverpool of England, pulled on a Gent jersey with jersey No.14 when he was introduced in the 69th minute as replacement for Yuya Kubo.
