Balogun Rates High Against Birmingham City

Date:

Brighton & Hove Albion summer signing, Leon Aderemi Balogun put up a brilliant performance in action for the club at the weekend, and his efforts helped them escape defeat against lower division side, Birmingham City .

Balogun, who got 75 appearances in Germany’s topflight before transferring to Brighton from SV Mainz in the off-season, came off The Seagulls’ bench in the 76th minute, while former under-23 national team invitee, Viv Solomon-Otabor played the whole of the second half.

While Balogun ensured Brighton did not concede again as they were trailing by one goal when he entered into the fray, Solomon-Otabor showed glimpses of his potential and looked lively when he went on.

Balogun will now aim to do even better against Manchester United, who travel to face Brighton in their second match of the new season.

Dramatically, United boss, Jose Mourinho is said to have sent spies to watch Balogun’s side on Saturday, ahead of their English Premier League fixture.
