Balogun, Saka scores, Omeruo, Success stars in Tuesday’s players round up

Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun made his 4th appearance of the English Premier League season for Brighton and Hove Albion in the team’s 3 – 1 win over Crystal Palace in a feisty London Derby that saw a red card and a total of five yellow cards.

 

 

The former Mainz of Germany central defender came on as a substitute for Pascal Gross in the 30th minute of the encounter after defender Shane Duffy was red carded for a headbutt on Palace’sPatrick Van Aanholt in the 28th minute. Leon Balogun’s first touch of the ball resulted in a goal that gave the home side a two goal lead in the 31st minute.

 

Nigerian forward Isaac Success failed to lift his team Watford on Tuesday as they lost at home to Premier League defending champion and top of the table inform Manchester City by 2 – 1.

Simy made way for Ante Budimir in the 66th minute while his 20-year-old countryman Orji Okonkwo who plays for Bologna came in as a substitute for Diego Falcinelli in the 75th minute

Bakuyo Saka played all 90 minutes in Arsenal’s U-21 English Football League trophy playoffs on Tuesday as the young gunners crashed out of the tournament losing 2 – 1 to home side Portsmouth. Saka score Arsenal’s only goal of the encounter in the 66th minute.
