Manchester City’s fast-rising Nigerian-born striker, Lukas Nmecha has attracted summer transfer attention from the trio of Blackburn Rovers, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City, with the midstream three already jostling for his signature.
Following another brilliant display and goal by the lad in last weekend’s pre-season game against Bayern Munich, Nmecha’s stock and value have soared tremendously, such that interest in the England youth international is not out of place.
Details of the report out of Queensland indicate that the three English Championship clubs are interested in signing the Germany-born striker on a season-long loan deal before the close of the summer transfer window.
Dramatically, the 19-year-old, who netted his first senior goal as City came from behind to claim a 3-2 win over Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup on Sunday, is also catching the eye of Fenerbahce of Turkey.
This is despite startling facts that the youngster, who already has caps for England at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U21 levels, was promoted to Man City’s first team in January 2018.
Nmecha also has an offer from Swansea City, but WBA want him to play alongside Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle if they can succeed in signing the latter from Newcastle United, with Salomon Rondon going the other way.
