Bosso: Invitation of home based stars a good omen for domestic football

Date:

The invitation of five home based players to the national team by Super Eagles squad by Franco-German coach Gernot Rohr has been described as a good omen to Nigerian football according to FC Ifeanyi Ubah tactician Ladan Bosso.

Speaking exclusively to Footballlive.ng in Abuja, Bosso said, “It means Gernot Rohr is a listening coach because this has always been the call made by the league managers to the national team gaffer.”

“The league is the feeder of the national team. I’m haply that Rohr has yielded to the pleas of the league advocates on the need to encourage the local stars.”

The match between the Lone Stars and Eagles is in celebration of Liberian President, former World Footballer of the Year George Oppong Weah, and is scheduled for Tuesday evening at the 35,000 –capacity Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.

Meanwhile, the Eagles will travel to Monrovia on Tuesday morning aboard an ARIK Air plane.
