CAF Approves Time Change for Nigeria vs South Africa

Date:

The Confederation of African Football has granted the Nigeria Football Federation’s request to adjust the kick-off time for the upcoming Women’s Olympic Football Tournament final qualifying fixture between Nigeria and South Africa.

The match originally scheduled for 4 pm will now start at 5 pm at the MKO Abiola National Stadium.

This decision was made in consideration of the current hot climatic conditions in the country to ensure the well-being of the players.

Ruth David, NFF’s Director of Competitions, confirmed the time change, emphasizing the importance of player safety.

The fixture is crucial as it will determine one of Africa’s representatives at this year’s Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France.

Furthermore, the South African Football Association has designated the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria for the return leg on Tuesday, 9th April.

The match is set to kick off at 7.30 pm South Africa time (6.30 pm Nigeria time).
