CAFCC: Enyimba Will Fly Into Semi-finals-Afelokhai

Date:

Enyimba of Aba goalkeeper, Theophilus Afelokhai has declared that The Peoples Elephant will on Sunday fly into the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, as they aim to beat visiting Rayon Sport of Rwanda, footballlive.ng can report.

While disclosing that he wants to emulate former Super Eagles keeper, Vincent Enyeama in helping Enyimba win a continental trophy, Afelokhai said he hopes to put up another star performance to help the Aba side beat Rayon Sport.

The former Kano Pillars shot-stopper was man of the match in helping Enyimba eke out a goalless draw from the first leg in Kigali, from which he knows his side have the advantage heading into the reverse fixture.

With that in mind, the 28-year-old shot stopper said ahead of the 2pm kick-off at the refurbished Enyimba International Stadium in Aba that he is ready to put in a better performance this time.

Afelokhai believes that would put him on course to emulate Enyeama, who won two back-to-back CAF Champions League winners’ medal with Enyimba, after which he hopes to also enjoy national team success like the former Super Eagles captain.

“I want to follow after Enyeama, who made history with Enyimba before he moved abroad. The result in Kigali was okay, but we must overcome Rayon Sports in Aba so we could qualify for the semi-finals,” Afelokhai enthused.
