Enyimba striker Abdulrahman Bashir is confident that the Nigerian giants will go far in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
The Aba based side pipped Williamsville 1-0 in a Group C match at the Adokiye Amesiemaka Stadium at midweek.
Bashir believes his side can continue to perform in the competition.
“We wasted scoring chances and were able to dominate the field, but what matters to us is the maximum points which we got,” Bashir said in a chat with Footballlive.ng.
“The team has resolved to go as far as possible in the CAF Confederation Cup. We have the machinery to emerge as champions in the competition. It’s an achievable task.
“I think we have what it takes to continue to perform on the continent. This is in Enyimba’s DNA, which is winning big tournaments,” he concluded.
The People’s Elephants will face Willamsville at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny on July 29.
