Samuel Chukwueze provided two assists as Manchester City fell to a second consecutive pre-season friendly defeat in the United States of America.
Erling Haaland scored the opening goal of the game in the 19th minute, courtesy of an assist from Oscar Bobb. Lorenzo Colombo then connected with Samuel Chukwueze to level the proceedings in the 30th minute. The Milan duo combined again just four minutes later to give the Italian side the lead, going into the halftime break.
Micah Hamilton provided the equalizer as Manchester City added another twist to the tie, James McAtee converting from close range as City leveled things. Marco Nasti sealed the game for Paulo Fonseca’s side in the 78th minute, courtesy of an assist from Alexis Saelamaekers.
This was Milan’s first preseason win, coming after their game in the off season, and they will now prepare for a game against Real Madrid on the 1st of August. City on the other hand are yet to win any games in the preseason, and will take on Barcelona next, on the 31st of July.
