Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze has expressed confidence in his side’s ability to get a good result away to Valencia this weekend, as he believes his colleague will rise to the occasion and eke out victory.
Though The Yellow Submarine are facing relegation from La Liga, with a chain of poor results so far this season, Chukwueze insists they have a squad of good players, who are committed to seeing the team stay up.
Footballlive.ng gathered that Chukwueze is taking the upcoming game as a point of focus to recharge Villarreal into better results, so that they can climb out of their present spot second to last on the table.
He stressed that the club, which once had former Super Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche on their cards, have enough top quality players that will help them beat the drop at the end of the current season.
Ahead of Villarreal’s visit to the Mestalla on Saturday (8:45pm kick-off), Chukwueze stressed that his team will not give up without a fight, and believes they are even capable of pulling off a shock away win.
Though Villarreal have not won a single match in their last eight fixtures across all competitions and crashed out of Copa del Rey, Chukwueze said: “I believe in the ability of my teammates and the entire squad.”
