Newly invited Super Eagles forward, Samuel Chukwueze scored his first senior goal for Villarreal in a six goal thriller in the Copa Del Rey on Thursday night against Almeria.
Home side Almeria took the lead in the 57th minute from the penalty spot through Chema Nunez before former Arsenal ace Santi Cazorla equaled the game in the 67th minute. Villarreal took the lead thanks to an own goal from defender Francisco Callejon in the 78th minute.
Villarreal extended their lead through exciting Nigerian youngster Samuel Chukwueze finishing brilliantly with 7 minutes to go but were unable to withstand the resilience from the home side who pulled two back courtesy of a brace from Sekou Gassama in the 86th and 91st minute.
Chukwueze who played all 90 minutes in the 3 – 3 draw will give head coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr some selection concerns as the national team currently parade some talented players in the squad.
Chukwueze was part of the Nigerian U17 team of 2015 that won the world Cup in Chile and has become a part of the Villareal senior side since making an appearance in the Europa League this season.
