Villarreal of Spain winger, Samuel Chukwueze (Samu) has won more words of praise from his club’s coach, Javi Calleja is singing more accolades for the youngster.
Footballlive.ng can report that The Yellow Submarine’s gaffer admits Chukwueze is still young, but adds that the lad has so much depth in confidence and is becoming more of an important player in the team.
For last weekend’s battle against Barcelona, Calleja set up his team in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Chukwueze operating from the right flank.
While Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembélé created most problems for Villarreal, Calleja was happy that The Azulgranas failed to keep the tricky Chukwueze under wraps for most part of the game.
Afterwards, Calleja was all praises for Chukwueze, who will cost 30m euros in the transfer window, despite his side’s 2-0 loss at Camp Nou.
Calleja said: ”We’ve competed very well. We can’t lower our heads. We are very happy with the work done.
”Samu had a great match. He is growing, a more and more important player. He is young and confident, he’ll end up learning a lot.”
