Coach Gbenga Ogunbote Says Rangers International Are Close To Achieving Their Target

Date:

Rangers International had to fight back from a goal down to come back and defeat defending AITEO Cup champions, Akwa United via a penalty shootout in Kano.

A delighted Coach Ogunbote told *footballive after the hard fought victory over Akwa United that he was happy his team are closer to achieving their target for the Season.

Speaking to www.footballive.ng, Coach Ogunbote said, “We have a target and are close to achieving it.”

He added, “It was good one for us because we conquered the defending champions in what was a keenly contested affair.”

Coach Gbenga went on thanking God that his players did not lose their heads even after going behind but rather kept pushing and got the equalizer that took the game to a penalty shootout.

He concluded by saying despite having only two matches standing between them and the winners medals he would want his team to take it one step at a time and not get carried away.
