Dimgba apologises for penalty kick loss

Date:

Winger Stanley Dimgba has apologised to Enyimba fans after missing a penalty kick for the team in a 1-0 loss to Raja Casablanca in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi final.

The two-time Champions League winners couldn’t convert begging changes against the experienced Moroccan side at the Enyimba International Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Raja Casablanca silenced the home fans thanks to Abdelilah Hafidi in the 47th minute.

Enyimba had the chance to level matters but winger Dimgba missed from the penalty spot.

“I’m not happy with the fact that I couldn’t convert the penalty kick from the spot. It was very painful and heartbreaking for me,” Dimgba told Footballlive.ng.

“I want to use this medium to apologise to Enyimba supporters for missing the kick.”
