Edo Queens of Nigeria have advanced to the final of the 2024 WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers. They will face Benin’s Ainonvi FC in the title match.
The semi-finals took place at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire.
Ainonvi FC reached the final with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Burkina Faso’s A.O Etincelle, with Yasminath Djibril’s 84th-minute goal proving decisive.
Edo Queens secured their spot with a 2-1 victory over Inter D’Abidjan. Suliat Abideen and Blessing Illivieda scored for the Nigerian side, while Inter D’Abidjan’s Adjoua Niamien pulled one back, setting up a tense finish. Abideen was awarded Woman of the Match.
The final is set for Friday, August 24, with both teams aiming not only for the WAFU B title but also a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League for the first time.
The third-place match between Inter D’Abidjan and A.O Etincelle will be played on Thursday, August 23.
