Former Plateau United FC player, Emeka Umeh who left the country just over two months ago has continued to make big impact at his new club, AS Trencin of Slovakia.
The tall lanky striker got the nod to start in an away tie alongside two other compatriots Philip Azango and Abdul Zuiberu but he was to steal the show with a great assist for his team opener in the 39th minutes as AS Trencin defeated MSK Zilina in a five goals thriller that ended in 2-3 in favour of AS Trencin.
Speaking to www.footballlive.ng, the former tallest player in the NPFL, Emeka Umeh said, “I feel great and delighted to start the match because I had always been coming in from the bench but I am glad to have taken advantage of my inclusion in the starting line up and gave a good account of myself with an assist for the first goal away to MSK Zilina.
Emeka Umeh whose AS Trencin now sits fifth in the Slovakia Fortuna Liga log concluded by stating he hoped to continue to get the nod for the starting line up even as he tries to repay the faith shown in him.
