Enyimba’s assistant coach, Yemi Olanrewaju, has voiced his disappointment with the officiating during the club’s 2-1 loss to Kwara United.
Olanrewaju expressed dissatisfaction with what he perceived as undue favoritism towards Kwara United by the match official, highlighting the impact it had on the game.
Although the side lost the match, Olanrewaju commended both teams for their impressive display of football artistry. However, he lamented the high number of yellow and red cards issued during the match, including two red cards for Enyimba players and one for himself.
Emmanuel Ogbole’s brace secured victory for Kwara United, while Ikenne Cooper scored for the defending champions.
Reflecting on the game, Olanrewaju emphasized the need to move on and focus on the upcoming fixture against Kano Pillars, acknowledging the challenges faced by his team in the match against Kwara United.
