He told *footballlive , “We knew how important the match was to us. So we do not mind having to wait that long for the goal because our focus was the three points.”

On his inability to get a goal yet for the People’s Elephant despite having posted to very impressive performances, Adetunji said, “l was unlucky not to have scored today but hopefully in the quarterfinals I would score because I am eager to score and I have been making attempts.”

He went on to describe the match as a tough match because the Congolese came to play for a minimum of a draw but ended up losing all three to the benefit of the Aba based outfit.

Sunday Adetunji also described Enyimba as one of the biggest teams in Nigeria and on the African Continent which living up to the expectations had not been easy because he came into the team and almost immediately started playing despite the abundance of talent already existing in the team.
