Jimma Aba Jiffar’s Nigerian striker Okiki Afolabi is eyeing a move to Europe since that puts him on a bigger stage to showcase his talent.
The former Sunshine Stars forward netted 23 goals and won the goal king award in the Ethiopian top-flight in the just ended season. He also emerged as the player of the season.
“I am ready to move on, I want a European move so that I can prove myself like what I have done in Ethiopia,” Okiki told Footballlive.ng.
“The season was okay for me, we started very well and edged St George on goal difference to win the title.”
The ex Shooting Stars forward added: “The Ethiopian league is very tough and lots of good foreign players are there whilst all the best Ethiopia players are locally based so the level is high.”
“I have a big reputation in Ethiopia now after my performance last season so I am very determined to work even harder,” Okiki opined.
The fine form of Okiki has caught the eyes of clubs in Eastern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East
