Falconets’ Coach Happy To Tango Germany First

Date:

Nigeria’s cadet female national team, Falconets’ coach, Christopher Danjuma has expressed delight with the schedule that sees his side play their first match at this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup against the defending champions, Germany.

Though Germany twice beat Nigeria in the final of the same competition in 2010 and 2014, Danjuma said ahead of Monday’s third clash between both teams that playing the holders so early means his lasses will also start thinking of themselves as champions.

Danjuma also stated appreciation with the top brass support his side will get in Monday’s game, as the fixture will be watched live by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Melvin Pinnick and a House of Representatives member, Hon. (Mrs) Ayo Omidiran.

Pinnick, who at the weekend got a letter of congratulations from FIFA president, Gianni Infantino on his appointment as first vice-president of Confederation of African Football, flew into Paris on Sunday from the United Kingdom before making his way to Saint Malo.
