Former Akwa United Midfielder, Harmony Ikande Sees Red On League Debut

Date:

Former Akwa United player, Harmony Ikande who recently signed for Al Jabalain FC Saudi Arabia had an early bath on his league debut has he was shown a red card in the first league match of the season against compatriot Okiemute Odah’s Jeddah FC who eventually ran out 2-0 winners.

The former U-20 World Cup star began his football career in Kano State, Nigeria before he moved to AC Milan but failed to make his his mark with the Italians as most of his time at the club was spent on loan at clubs like Hapoel Tel Aviv, FK Sarajevo, Govinoa and Aria limassop.

Harmony move to Al Jabalain FC means he has joined the likes of Ahmed Musa, Okiemute Odah, Afeez Shobowale, Paul Onobi amongst other Nigerians to make the move to Saudi Arabia in the current transfer window.

It seem that Saudi Arabia is becoming a home for Nigerian players as 12 Nigerian players have successfully signed to clubs in the Saudi Arabian league this season.
