Henty Thanks God For Wonder Goal

Date:

New signing at NK Osijek of Croatia, Ezekiel Isoken Henry (aka Henty) has given thanks to God for the break taking goal he scored for his club on Sunday night.

Henty hit target in the 19th minute of his side’s 4-1 win against visiting Hajduk Split and, though he got a 30th minute yellow card for his efforts, the youngster, who grew up in Okoko area of Lagos says he has nothing to complain about.

It was Henty’s first bull’s eye since arriving at Osijek this summer and, with many pundits already dubbing it goal of the season, the former Lokomotiv Moscow of Russia attacker said he is relishing the marvellous feeling.

It came three days after he fired blanks in his side’s 1-0 to Glasgow Rangers in Thursday’s Europa League, second qualifying round, first leg encounter at Gradski Vrt Stadium.

Alfredo Morelos scored the only goal of the encounter in the 18th minute, and number-45 jersey Henty, who made his second appearance in the competition that night, had just three shots on targets.

The son of a late army officer admitted he felt bad after failing to make hay on Thursday against the team of Safiq Umar and Ovie Ejaria, but added that his heroics of Sunday night made everything up for him, hence his gratefulness to God for making it possible.

Henty declared on Facebook: “All honour and glory to you LORD magical atmosphere last night at kohorta Osijek.”
