Idowu Akinjide: Atlantas Klaipeda game a turning point

Date:

FK Palanga midfielder Idowu Akinjide believes Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Atlanta’s Klaipesda will prove to be a turning point in his club’s season.

The away side had a share of the spoils in the game after five straight defeats in the Lithuanian A Lyga.
Akinjide feels it is an opportunity for the team to boost morale and instil some much-needed confidence.
“If you asked me I’d say the game is clearly a morale booster for us.”
“It matters to all of us, especially the fact that it can help further boost our confidence after the draw in Atlantas.
“I think that result has strengthened us and will be a turning point, as the Coach said, and I’m convinced we will now start to climb the table,” he insisted to Footballlive.ng
