Ighalo Declares: I Am A Child Of Destiny

Date:

New singing at Shanghai Greenland Shenhua of China, Odion Jude Ighalo has tagged himself a child of destiny, as he sees his latest transfer as a fulfillment of a strongly held desire.

Footballlive.ng can report that Ighalo was grinning from ear-to-ear, as he went for his first training session with his new club, and admitted right away that he is on an assignment to achieve greater things this season.

Ighalo comes highly rated, on account of his top scoring exploits with Changchun Yatai for the past two seasons, but his biggest task now will be to ensure his goals help Shenhua to the title.

The former Julius Berger FC of Lagos, Prime FC of Osogbo, Lyn Oslo of Norway, Udinese of Italy, Granada of Spain and Watford of England hit-man will also aim to create a different ending to his days with Yatai.

In the past season, the Super Eagles striker was unable to save Yatai from relegation, such that he will not want a repeat of that same scenario in another shot for glory in the Chinese Super League.

Shenhua come rated high as well, haven previously enjoyed the services of former Super Eagles striker, Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins (Obagol) up till last season, and they have Ighalo’s former coach at Watford.

All the coincidences must have left Ighalo concluding that his move to Shanghai was ordained with a divine touch, hence his verdict on social media that he is a child of destiny, and hopes to achieve more success.

He posted: “Destiny child on assignment. First Training Session With The Team. #Shanghaishenhua #Ighalo.”
