Iheanacho punishes Alisson, as Liverpool’s clean sheet Streak ends

Date:

Kelechi Iheanacho beat Liverpool’s £67m goalkeeper, Alisson Becker in a one-on-one battle to force the Brazilian into a gaffe and gifted Leicester City a goal.

Iheanacho started from the bench, coming on just after the hour mark and instantly made his impact felt.

The Nigerian charged at Alisson who had opted to play the ball rather than clear.

But the goalkeeper, who had kept a clean sheet until the game against Leicester, was beaten in the scrimmage by the attacker and squared it for Rachid Ghezzal.

The Algerian midfielder struck to halve the deficit as Liverpool led 2-0 at the time.

Unfortunately, the Foxes could not find the all important equalizer and suffered a second defeat of the season.
