Enugu Rangers gaffer, Fidelis Ilechukwu has reacted to his team’s intriguing win over Abia Warriors as they solidify their grip on the top spot of the league. Rangers defeated Abia Warriors 3-2 on home and they are now 3 points clear of Enyimba at the summit of the log.
Ilechukwu said he already presumed how the gane would go, considering his team had not defeated Abia Warriors in four meetings prior to this, and they were fully prepared for what was coming.
Ilechukwu said:
“I knew it was going to be like that because it’s a big game and also Rangers have not beaten the Abia Warriors for past four or five games that make it more difficult. We prepared for the game because we wanted to break records and set records. We prepared very well. Thank God we got the three points in the bag and now eight games to go to end the league”.
Enugu Rangers currently have 54 points from 30 games played, and will travel to Port Harcourt to take on Rivers United on Sunday.
