Indebtedness everywhere as Governor Lalong fails to redeem long time pledge .

Date:

2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Plateau United have so far ran of patience as they use the last minutes chance to appeal to the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Simon Bako Lalong to redeem the sum of #1.5M pledge made to the team for emerging champions of the  Nigerian Professional Football league in the year 2016
Some of the players who spoke to journalists on the condition of anonymity pleaded with the Executive Governor of the state to fulfil his promises. They said:
We know that our Governor is a sports loving father and we felt he might have forgotten his promise due to state activities hence the need for this reminder.
Another player who had left the team but could not hide his feeling also expressed his dismay over the whole issue.
what we are doing now is not a calculative attempt to undermine the efforts of the Executive Governor of the state but to remind him of what the two holy books teach about those who make  promises and fail.
We however call on well meaning Nigerians to help us speak to the Governor to fulfill his promises to the state team, who have so far never failed the state in the area of football strides.
One of the top officials of the club ascertained the veracity of the claim that the money is  yet be released by the Governor and he therefore promised to effect payment to the affected players once the money is comes in.
I want to use this medium to confirm that the Governor is yet to effect the payment of #1.5M pledge made to the team but we want to express our confidence in the Executive Governor of Plateau state, His Excellency, Governor Simon Bako Lalong that he would fulfil his promise and once we receive it we would effect payment to the affected players”
