Victor Moses returned to Chelsea’s starting XI on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool, but the Nigerian, who played all 90 minutes did not impressive soo much.
Moses showed some spark in the early minutes of the game, but fizzled away as the Blues came under pressure in the second half.
The Blues came from a goal down to defeat their host 2-1 with goals from Emerson Palmieri – cancel out Daniel Sturridge’s opener – and Eden Hazard.
Chelsea Manager, Maurizio Sarri, picked the Nigerian, who has been an outcast for the most part of the early weeks this seasons, alongside several forgotten men for the crunch against Liverpool.
Overall, the 27-year-old Winger rated 6.8, per Whoscored.com and only better Alvaro Morata (6.3), Cesar Azpilicueta (6.6), Ross Barkley (6.3) and Gary Cahill (6.4)- all of whom also played the entire minutes on Wednesday.
Even Chelsea fans only gave Moses 4% of votes in the man of the match poll that close on Thursday.
Their Belgian talisman, Eden Hazard polled 61%, the closest being goalkeeper Willy Caballero 8% and he even had a fantastic evening.
