Four years after, Angel Di Maria was in familiar surroundings as PSG trained at Old Trafford on Monday evening before the beginning of their 2018/2019 Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester United, Paris giants will face United for the first time ever in a competitive match today as their two-legged European clash gets underway.
Angel on his return to his former club says “It wasn’t the best period of my career, or they didn’t let me have my best time there, There were problems with the coach at the time. But thanks to God, I was able to come to PSG and be myself again.”
Angel Di Maria signed for Manchester United and was immediately handed the famous number seven shirt at the club, in the 2014 summer transfer window for a then record-breaking transfer fee of £59.7m.
