Super Eagles head coach, Finidi George, has revealed that he is well-informed about the strengths and weaknesses of the South African team ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash.
The match against Bafana Bafana is set to take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday, June 7.
During a media parley in Lagos, the 53-year-old coach credited his video analyst, Mehmet Ozturk, for providing comprehensive information on the South African team which includes detailed breakdowns of each player’s capabilities.
“It’s a well-calculated pick; we also have the fitness coach, which is needed in modern-day football, and a match analyst. What that guy has done so far is amazing,” Finidi remarked.
He continued, “What he has sent to me, analyzing player by player, not the Super Eagles players but the opponents… What I have on my phone is amazing. It is not that I’m not watching, but when someone will break it down, the strengths and weaknesses, it’s a fantastic job.”
