The London-based duo of Alex Iwobi at Arsenal and Victor Moses of Chelsea will both this term wear the same jersey numbers thy had with their respective clubs last season in the English Premier League.

While Iwobi keeps No.17 at Emirates Stadium, fellow-Nigerian attacker, Chuba Akpom will wear number 32 in the new season if he is not loaned out or moves to a new team before the close of the summer transfer window.

Iwobi wore number 60 when he made Arsenal’s 18-man squad for the first time back in the 2013-14 season in a League Cup clash against West Bromwich Albion, but got No.45 for his professional debut two years later.

In The Gunners’ youth teams, Tolaji Bola gets number 38 jersey in the new season, while the quartet of Joseph Olowu, Xavier Amaechi, Folarin Balogun and Bukayo Saka will wear numbers 50, 66, 67 and 87 respectively for their professional debuts.

Across the city at Stamford Bridge, Moses will retain the number fifteen jersey he used last season when he reports for pre-season training before the team’s trip to Australia.
