Arsenal of England striker, Alex Iwobi has disclosed that he knows how The Gunners’ fans are feeling, following their 1-0 loss on Saturday against Tottenham Hotspur.
It was the first time Iwobi would play a game in which The Gunners lost away to thjeir North London rivals, and the Super Eagles star took to social media to reveal that he also felt personally let down by Saturday’s defeat.
Iwobi was not named in Arsenal’s starting line-up for the first time in eight matches across all competitions but came off the bench as replacement for Mohamed Elneny in the 65th minute of the contest.
Iwobi stated afterwards that he was disappointed with the outcome, then directed a message to Arsenal fans in the wake of the loss to Tottenham at Wembley Stadium, London, which he said was painful and hard to take.
He, however, disclosed that he and his teammates are now ready to right the wrongs when they line out for Thursday’s Europa League clash with Ostersunds FK of Sweden.
Iwobi stated: ”Being an Arsenal fan myself, defeat was very disappointing and hard to take. I know it’s hard to believed but we know exactly how you are feeling.
“We have another match in a few days and trust me we’ll be putting in 100% to try and make this right. ”Massive love to all our fans for your support. #BIG17.”
