SC Paderbon 07 left full back, Jamilu Collin had a fantastic performances for the Super Eagles in the clash against the Libyan and even came inches close to opening his goal account for the team.
Collins told Footballlive.ng after the match that he thought his strike which hit the bar was destined to be a goal but he is now focused on the second leg in Tunisia on Wednesday.
The former Football College, Abuja player in speaking with footballlive.ng said, “I thought I scored but unfortunately it crashed against the cross bar.”
He however went on to thank God for the victory, the coaches for believing in him and giving him an opportunity to start in such a crucial game.
“It is a learning process for me, it is a learning call for me as well.”
“Though it was a tough match, the Libyans are a very good team, tough contenders but we did our best and we ended with a wonderful result.”
On playing his first Super Eagles match in Nigeria, Collins said, “My first match at home as Super Eagle player paid off well, I am determine to improve more so I can do better than I did today for my dear country.”
The Former Rijeka of Croatia player concluded by thanking the fans who came all out to cheer the team to victory.
