John Ogu amazed at the quality in the Super Eagles

Date:

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has praised the quality of players in the current squad of the Eagles noting that the team has a very solid future with the array of talents coming through the ranks in the national team.

With the coming of age of youngsters such as Samuel Chukwueze, Samuel Kalu, Alex Iwobi, Henry Onyekuru, kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and more, the Hapoel Be’er Sheva of Israel playmaker is certain the national team is in good hands whenever the old guards decide to call time on the team.

Ogu who was once touted to be the future of the Super Eagles midfield with his powerful left foot joined the national team in 2013 and has been capped 19 times failing to lay claim to the position despite his good form at club level but the play maker always believes his time will come.

After some series of training with the new lads Ogu could not hide his excitement at the new set of players in camp. “Speaking as a fan of the Super Eagles now. We are truly blessed to have the talents now in the team and the ones that are going to come in for the future .Them Young boys coming in are just the FUTURE!!”

Ogu is in the Super Eagles party to face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Johannesburg on November 17 and will be hoping to start in midfield after the card suspension given to the team’s regular Wilfred Ndidi.
