Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) newcomers, Kada City FC of Kaduna’s coach, Usman Adams has declared that the biggest target they have heading into their maiden outing in the top-flight is to shock older clubs in the championship.
Footballlive.ng reports that Adams stated as much after his side edged Bendel Insurance of Benin City on penalties, to win the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super-8 promotion play-off in Aba, for which the excited coach said his side were adequately prepared.
Although Kada City are a private-owned club, Adams believes they have the right quality of players, technical crew and top management that will spur the team to hold their own when the season begins this weekend.
Adams stated: “We have been training hard, after knowing that will play in the NNL Super-8.
“We did a thorough job during our build-up, and the result is what we have witnessed here.
“We will be able to hold our own when the season starts, because we believe we have a team that can shock all other teams.”
