Girondins-Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu is set to take over playing under French gaffer, Claude Puel from Leicester City of England duo, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi and Keelchi Iheanacho.
Footballlive.ng gathered that, while Ndidi and Iheanacho were relieved of Puel’s mentorship last Sunday, following a spate of poor results with Leicester, Kalu is on the verge of receiving the tactician at Bordeaux.
Kalu would be interested to learn that Puel is being linked with a quick return to management, and his next port of call is most likely bound to be Bordeaux, which the Super Eagles’ rookie joined last summer.
Puel was axed by The Foxes on Sunday after seeing his side make it seven games without a win, losing 4-1 to Crystal Palace on Saturday, but Ndidi and Iheanacho’s former boss could be on his way to tinker Kalu’s team in the French Ligue 1.
This comes after Kalu’s club top brass also sacked their manager, Ricardo this week, after the team slipped to 13th on the Championnat table.
Puel, who was in charge of Leicester for 16 months, may fancy the job with Kalu’s club, as Bordeaux are located relatively close to his home town of Castres in the south of France.
