Lobi Stars goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode has called on his teammates to increase the tempo at the home bend of the 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Pride of Benue are on top of the top flight table with 43 points from 24 games, two more than second placed Akwa United.
With the team travelling to Minna to face Niger Tornadoes on Wednesday 18th July, Kayode says it’s important that they maintain their momentum.
“Topping the table isn’t the major issue but keeping the pace sounds more important,” Kayode said when asked by Footballlive.ng.
“We have a mission to accomplish and at this stage the target must be met. Teams will always come hard at us because we are on top.
“The remaining 14 games are going to be difficult, but we have to look at ourselves and say let us perform the way we have been for the last 24 matches, and also be wary of the opponents.
