Odeyemi wants Katsina United not to rest on their laurels

Date:

Katsina United striker Ebenezer Odeyemi wants to ensure his team do not rest on their laurels as the 2018 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season moves into the final stretch.

The Changi Boys return to action on July 18th after the World Cup when they meet Go Round at the Krisdera Hotel Stadium.

United are currently sitting in 7th position on the standings, following a run of 11 wins, 3 draws and 10 defeats.

Odeyemi cautions that the team cannot afford to relax, pointing out that every point earned is like gold in the remaining 14 matches.

“The last time I checked we were amongst the better scoring teams and defensively we were also amongst the better performing ones too.

“Now when you look at those statistics, they inspire you. They show the amount of work you have put in and we’ll go back now and keep working.

“It’s a good season. We have to go on working hard and fighting for every point if we want to achieve our targets for the season.”
