Kwara United Striker Odeyemi Pleased To Win Man Of The Match Award

Bulky forward Ebenezer Odeyemi was officially recognized as the best player on the pitch as Kwara United booked their place in the final of the 2018 Gold Cup Tourney after defeating Cynosure FC of Abakaliki 4-2 on penalties at the Ondo State Sports Complex on Wednesday.

 

The encounter had ended 1-1 at regulation time in Akure.

The ex Prime FC striker found the back of the net for the Harmony Boys in the highly entertaining encounter.

After the game, the former Kogi United, Elkanemi Warriors and Katsina United forward was deservedly voted as Man of the Match.

He was pleased to register his name on the scoresheet, and thanked the team, supporters and the sponsors of the Man of the Match award, Vomoz Mobile.

“We’ve done a good job. We’ve tried our best to win because of it was the semifinals,” Odeyemi told Footballlive.ng.

“We’re happy because everything worked out well and as a team we’re very pleased.”
