Lobi Star’s chances of doing well at the 2018/2019 CAF Champions’ League group stage have been boosted with the inclusion of former Enyimba and Kwara United midfielder Dare Ojo.
The combative midfielder joined Lobi Stars in November after player’s registration for the CAF Champions League preliminary and First Round stage had been concluded but has now been penned down by the club as one of the stars to feature for the Makurdi based side in the group stage of the league.
Ojo was instrumental for Enyimba in the 2017/2018 CAF Confederations Cup campaign where they reached the semi final stage of the competition losing to Raja Casablanca of Morocco.
Lobi Stars will face Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, ASEC Mimosa of Cote d’ Ivoire and Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in group A of the CAF Champions League. The Makurdi based football outfit beat UMS de Loum of Cameroon in the preliminary stage before sending out Gor Mohia of Kenya in the First Round.
