Lokosa Starts Trials In Bulgaria, Returns On Sunday

Kano Pillars striker, Junior Lokosa has taken a step closer to sealing a professional deal in Europe, and probably confirm his status for the World Cup, as he has landed in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The former First Bank FC of Lagos striker, who currently tops the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top scorers’ chart with 18 goals, landed in the Bulgarian capital on Tuesday, and is expected to commence trials with top-flight side, Ludogorets.

Sources close to the player disclosed that Lokosa, who was overjoyed when news of his call-up to the Super Eagles reached him through his agent, will undergo medicals and return to the country on Sunday, May 20.

That should put him in line for joining the Eagles’ camp in Uyo on Monday and line out for training with the home-based squad ahead of their May 22 exhibition battle with Atletico Madrid of Spain the following day.
