Manu Garba challenges Eaglets to keep ball on the ground in battle with Niger

Ahead of Wednesday’s semi final clash between Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets and their hosts Niger Republic in the ongoing zonal Afcon qualifiers, Head coach of Nigeria’s Eaglets, Manu Garba has stated that his players needs to put more balls on the ground even though his strikers are scoring goals.

Manu Garba who also revealed that his aim is to build a team that will stand the test of time, remains confident of subduing his opponent.


“We have prepared as we always do but l learned a lot from our games against Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire and I hope my players did not only know how we competed but also how good we could become.

“Players know my thoughts. We need to put the ball on the ground and also play robust football. We have to take our chances because we are playing against the host nation,” Manu Garba told Footballlive.ng.

“We have to concentrate on our game. We have to believe that we can emerge victorious on Wednesday.”
