Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has marveled over his side’s away victory against Chelsea on Saturday, as the former Racing Genk of Belgium exclaimed ‘what a win.’
Ndidi went on to put the shock victory down to what he described as a massive team performance by The Foxes, while also acknowledging how they all battled hard to make history against their more favoured hosts.
Ndidi admits the away win came against all forecasts, but footballlive.ng reports further that the former Racing Genk of Belgium star believes he and his colleagues now have additional inspirations for more victories.
Now heading into Wednesday’s potentially explosive ‘rematch’ at home against Manchester City, Ndidi is looking for more levels of motivation that would help his side eke out revenge on the team that sent them packing from the Carabao Cup only last week.
The 22-year-old Ndidi, who featured for the entire duration of the game, was also happy that he played a key role in the encounter.
After making two crucial tackles to ensure The Foxes kept a clean sheet, Ndidi said all the team gave an impressive performance that saw them end Maurizio Sarri’s four-game unbeaten run.
“Massive team performance, what a win,” Ndidi posted, as he turned his attention on his side’s Boxing Day clash with Manchester City.
